The Board of Directors is comprised of dedicated professionals who provide strategic direction, oversight and support to advance the mission and initiatives of the Scarlet Sails Cultural Foundation.

Dmitry Sotiriadi

President

Dmitry Sotiriadi studied at Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics and graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (RATI) in 2007. Dmitry's artistic career began in the theaters of Tomsk (Russia), and from 2007 to 2014 he was an actor at the Moscow theater "School of Modern Drama" and appeared in films. He is passionate about theatrical arts and brings his experience and dedication to various educational initiatives in the community. Dmitry has been the president of the Scarlet Sails Cultural Foundation since its inception and actively participates in organizing theatrical workshops and productions, striving to inspire and develop talents within the Russian-speaking community.

Anton Fedoseyev

Vice President

Anton Fedoseev holds BSc. in Engineering, MSc. in Computer Science as well as MBA in General Management from University of Washington. For the last 16 years Anton has been employed by Autodesk, publicly traded company based in San Francisco with 600 employees based in the Portland office. Anton is currently responsible for learning and career development of Autodesk employees globally. He brings his passion for learning and development to the non-profit as well as additional education activities in the community. For example Anton has been an active organizer of robotics events as a part of FIRST Robotics, including training two teams of Russian-speaking elementary school children.

Anna Shapkina

Treasure

Anna is an operational and financial leader with over 13 years of finance experience in enterprise technology. She values building collaborative business relationships, maximizing shareholder value and scaling companies through sustained rapid growth. Anna earned her MBA from the Marylhurst University of Oregon and has since worked in FP&A, operations, development, accounting, financial management and administration, and customer-facing functions in such companies as Leyard Planar Systems, Acumed LLC and currently at Eclypsium Inc. When not indoors focused on business partnering, Anna enjoys spending time in the great outdoors adventuring with her two daughters and the chihuahua dog.

Elena Sylvester

Secretary/Director of Marketing

Elena possesses over 20 years of marketing experience, ranging from smaller U.S. companies to large international conglomerates. Her MBA, which emphasizes marketing, equips her with specialized expertise that significantly benefits SS. For many years, she has supported Russian culture, beginning with initiating a Russian school in 2005 to offer classes for children. Additionally, she has been actively organizing and participating in numerous Russian events in Portland.

Viktoriya Little

Community Engagement Director

Viktoriya was born in Kharkiv and spent her childhood in Tver. She holds two university degrees, including one in education. Early in her career, she worked as an elementary school teacher, and later spent more than 20 years in leadership roles in the information technology sector, specializing in people management, project management, process optimization, and working with international teams. Since 2019, Viktoriya has been an active member of the Scarlet Sails theater, performing in several productions and assisting with event organization. As Community Engagement Director, she focuses on attracting new audiences, volunteers, and friends to the theater. Viktoriya is passionate about building and nurturing community connections, believes in the power of theater to unite and inspire people, and is committed to making Scarlet Sails increasingly well-known and cherished by every resident of the city.

Aleksandra Levkovskaia

Fundraising Director

Aleksandra graduated from the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (formerly the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute). She has experience working in both private and public companies. She designed dozens of residential, commercial and industrial projects in Eugene and nearby cities. She is currently the lead civil engineer at the Bonneville Power Administration, where she is responsible for the development of electrical substations and other facilities that ensure the operation of the energy network in the northwestern region of the United States. Aleksandra has over 15 years of experience in social work in the life of the Russian-speaking community of Portland. As volunteer of the Russian Foundation for the Arts (RUFFA), she organizes concerts, meetings with journalists, actors, writers and artists, annual bard music festivals, and theater performances. Since 2019, she has been actively involved in the educational process and performances of Scarlet Sails, where she uses her acquired acting knowledge along with organizational skills. Aleksandra is convinced that Scarlet Sails' performances contribute to the preservation of the native language and the maintenance of cultural traditions in the context of immigration.

Nikolay Ryzhenko

Strategic Planning Director

Nikolai graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Applied Physics and Mathematics. He also earned a doctoral degree (Candidate of Technical Sciences) in Computer-Aided Design systems. For more than 20 years Nikolai has worked at Intel Corporation, where he leads the development, deployment, and operation of automated software systems used to design nanometer-scale layouts. He is the author of several publications and a co-inventor on a patent and multiple patent applications. Nikolai is active in the social and cultural life of the Russian-speaking community. He has organized more than ten quiz nights, is passionate about weightlifting and shares his knowledge of sports with friends, and loves traveling with his three children to natural, cultural, and historical landmarks. Since 2022 he has been involved in Scarlet Sails productions—both on stage and on the technical side. He believes theater draws in and unites curious people while preserving cultural traditions.
