It all starts as a downright farce. Five grandmothers sing in an amateur folk song ensemble of the House of Culture of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf. At the 10th anniversary of the choir, the director introduces everyone to a new member of the group, who is to become the new soloist and open up new horizons for the group. The sweet old ladies begin to desperately fight for their place in the sun, turning into real furies.

What should be preferred - the familiar and close old or the brilliant, but unknown, new? What will remain in a person's life if he is deprived of the meaning of life, his favorite business, creativity, art ...?
A cheerful and sharp farce turns into a piercing story about compassion and support, empathy and mercy, love and sacrifice. And deep behind all this hides the eternal human loneliness.
