Folk dance is a way to stay active, develop both body and spirit, and explore the culture of different peoples through movement. It’s a living language that unites music, rhythm, health, and the joy of connection. Join us to dance, feel, stay fit — and simply enjoy the process.

How Classes Work

 

The program is tailored to the interests and skill level of the participants. Classes include folk and ballet barre work, coordination and muscle-strengthening exercises, movement refinement, and work on choreography.
The course is led by Leonid Shagalov — former soloist of the Beryozka Ensemble, an experienced performer and teacher who works with both beginners and advanced dancers.
Participants are introduced to a variety of national styles — Spanish, Ukrainian, Georgian, Moldovan — and may take part in performances and concerts if they wish.

For adults at any level who want to dance, explore new cultures, enjoy movement, and grow in a supportive, welcoming group.

Payment & Terms

Monthly Billing:
- When you enroll, you agree to monthly billing. Your card is charged automatically each month.
- No proration or refunds for missed classes due to vacation, illness, or other personal reasons.

Registration Fee:
- A one-time annual registration fee of $15 per participant is due at enrollment.
- The registration fee is non-refundable if you discontinue classes.

How to Withdraw from Classes:

- Please notify us by the 20th of the current month.
- Cancellations made after the 20th will incur a service fee equal to one month’s tuition.

Scarlet Sails reserves the right to terminate enrollment if a student consistently disrupts class or violates conduct guidelines.
