ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

A family of gray mice lives in a cozy cheese factory. Life is wonderful: a warm, comfortable home, a well-ordered household, and a well-behaved son. Then new neighbors arrive—a family of white mice—and their peace and happiness disappear in an instant.

A full-scale mouse war begins, complete with Shakespearean passions! The hostility between the white and gray parents is complicated by the fact that their children cannot understand why the adults are feuding. They like each other so much and want so badly to be friends that they set off, desperate and fearless, to ask the Great Cat for help.

Through a playful fairy-tale story, the theater speaks to children about serious questions: how to remain yourself, how not to betray who you are even in pursuit of the highest goal, and how to preserve the best within you—the ability to love, to be a friend, to believe in miracles, and to truly see and hear the person beside you.
