For several weeks, newspapers and television reports have been warning the public about an elusive maniac who disguises himself as an electrician, plumber, doctor, or even a lawyer—the very professionals elderly women might invite into their homes.

The eccentric and determined retiree Elsa Grigoryevna decides to catch the criminal and earn the title of “Woman of the Year.” While putting her daring plan into action, she also takes on another challenge: finding a suitable husband for her granddaughter, who has remained single far too long.

This fast-paced detective comedy is filled with witty dialogue, mistaken identities, unexpected visitors, and absurd situations, where the search for a dangerous criminal becomes tangled with an equally determined search for love.
